Special Provisions for Employment Purposes
If your permissible is employment, information is supplied on the condition that
you, the user, agree to
comply with the FCRA regulations and any applicable state and federal regulations,
including equal opportunity laws, for the use of consumer reports. By continuing
your search, you are agreeing to do the following:
- Make clear and conspicuous disclosure to the applicant or employee, in writing and
in a separate
document, that a consumer report is being obtained for employment purposes.
- Obtain the appropriate written authorization from the employee or applicant prior
to obtaining each
consumer report or investigative report.
- Prior to adverse action, provide appropriate notice to the applicant including the
source of the report, a copy of the report obtained, and a Summary of Consumer Rights
Under the FCRA. After adverse action is taken, provide the consumer with the name,
address and phone number of the CRA that supplied the report, a statement that the
CRA supplied the report and did not make the decision to take the adverse action,
notice of the individual's right to dispute the accuracy or completeness of the
information or the right to an additional fee report from the agency within 60 days.
